Where most subject to vary, reef would be composed of fragments

Effects of tides on reefs = Height at barrier = V King's Weather remarks ─ sailing = Mr Bynoe says most Coral on Windward side of Barbados ─ parts are like Brownish inclined by reef, shorl water with sand; ⸮ is there deep water outside? = A Lagoon Isld depressed would grow up most quickly on Windward side = Flinders compares Barrier to G. of Florida! = My alternate bands of depression & elevation only between Tropics & Equator:

I think a perfect analogy might be more between an ordinary reef & Lagoon & Key. ─ only in the figure is the only different.─ Section of Gan biers Island Taha & Raiatea with dotted lines to show progress [sketch] at inclination given by Beechey.
