M. Parchappe states say like "les Efflorescences salines qui jai recueillies sur les bords du Manueleo et donné par l' analyze 93 parties de du sulp de soude & 7 parties sel marin; tandis que celles qui ont ete recueillies sur les bords de la Baye baie même ont donné 63 parties al sulp de soude et 37 parti du sel marin:─

The R: Manueleo enters very head of Bay above Cabeza del Buez.

[South America, p. 72: "M. Parchappe§ has analysed it; and finds that the specimens collected at the extreme head of the low plain, near the River Manuelo, consist of ninety-three per cent. of sulphate of soda, and seven of common salt; whilst the specimens taken close to the coast contain only sixty-three per cent. of the sulphate, and thirty-seven of the muriate of soda.
