p. 260 Hill of St Lucia. Porphyry with green-gray base – white transparent crystals of feldspar [illeg] hornb & magnetic iron – columns 4 or 5 sided dimensions given

p 263 Montes de Dominico, N. of town. – Meyen says Trachyte R says porphyry very like Trachyte – little feldspar more hornblende but crystals very small – with balls of various sizes of syenite but has decayed hornblende = Cathedral built out of rock of this hill and says S. Cristobal 842, 50 metres high!! some mistake. I must call my S. Cristobal a little hill. – to show which I allude to.
