It may be suspected from correlation in range of cleavage with lines of disturbance (& considering lamination of lava volcanic rocks) that due to stretching — great continuity of cleavage not greater than great chains of mountains.— Why then diagonal to horizontal —

Introduce the notion if we follow out analog from lava — cleavage
