Sep. 28/69/ It is easy to give plenty of cases of fluctuating variability — but rare to show that a character still variable & yet certain variations manifestly useful — Fritz Müller has shown this (Bot. Zeitung paper on Faramea in Dimorphic Portfolio) with extension of anther & period of opening flower.
