Dr. Carpenter in his Paper on orbitolites shows that certain vars, with calcareous external rays abound in the Philippine Seas, — that certain monstrous vars in the Aegean sea, & certain forms in the Eocene strata of Paris; but that all belong to same one species.— 5 Chapt 4.
