I ought to collect as many cases as possible of intermediate varieties inhabiting distinct areas, on account of Ch. 6. p. 62 & 63 — In this chapter p. 46 I give some cases of intermediate vars, between Coracias & a Carabus apparently produced by crossing — I have some good cases in Balanus—

I know there are some good ones in insects in going N. in Grt Britain — (E. Neuman.)
