Nauman makes T. albus synonymy of T. Salicata & Scoticus inhabits North, & Prussia in Pomerania & west Ost German Coast, but not further S. in Alps

Ch. 4.

Nauman makes T. albus a spec. & T. salicata & Scoticus synonymous. — the species ranges as far as Prussia & Pomerania Southward, but is not found in Alps. (Must have nearly same range as our Scoticus) Sir W. Jardine is now studying Greece)

[92v]

Southern Range of Tetrao Bonasia Salicata wd be least seen in Nauman Vogel Deutschlands, Gray says.—

Also perhaps look in Vol. VI. p. 320 for cross of T. Bonasia with Gallus.

In Isis Hasel-hahnes, I presume is syn. of T. Bonasia
