after giving proportions of plants & extermination of some; add that I have observed in the soil round my house, that if not mowed & long left, whether or not manured as in my old Pigeon House & on borders of Potato field, that the Dactylis largely beats other grasses, though comparatively rare in mowed or browsed land.—
