May 20 /61/ Watched on 2 successive days Myosotis sylvatica with its small but pretty flowers— saw some pollen feeding flies haunting it & many of Empis chioptera, a very delicate fly visiting it long proboscis. Every flower wd be many times visited. These flies 4 which I killed were all dusted with pollen of this myosotis.

Saw several flies, visiting Veronica chamædys & Sucking it. These were dusted with pollen.— Certainly Bees do not visit these flowers
