Dichogamy

Nov. 26 /66/.  Bot. Garden. Ancuba Japonica

In Down had such plant about 18 inches high, which bores 6 trusses of florets with no larger number of florets, with the incoherent pollen. he fertilised female flowers on 29 rather large trees, & these are now covered with berries, viz about 2300 in number — — Flowers small & inconspicuous & so fertilised by wind showing great excess of pollen.—
