=Aestivation of petals generally uniform in same family.=

In Griselinia (Bentham & Hooker genera Plantarum p 951) in ♂ petals imbricate, in ♀ valvate — generally in order petals valvate — but in one genus imbricate.

Laws of Variation.— sexes differ in point in which allied genera differ—
