Dr Fraser proves that the caterpillar of the Deiopeia feeds on, but is not injured by, the virulent poison of the ordeal-bean of Africa — but is killed by Prussic acid. On the other hand another insect the Anthonomus feeds on the kernel of Prunus Cerasus which abounds with Prussic acid.
