From facility in which any cultivated variety goes back (includes avitism) to form of ancestor, shows compared with slowness of its formation — shows there is this tendency, where but the same selection, either natural or art artificial which produced the variety race would generally prevent such retrocession — may be said more tendency to vary backwards than any other way. —
Perhaps explains when secondary sexual form varies greatly from normal.— it is generally retrograde form as in glowworm.— Has male retrograded or female assumed secondary character is there bird in which female most brilliant?
