Thinking of vars of mammals (& Birds in some cases) in Ireland, Sardinia, Tasmania, Ceylon N. America & England &c.— I do not doubt that in locomotive freely crossing animals, there must be isolation generally local, sometimes many different stations for new varieties to be formed.—
