We have short-horns gradually modified in whole mass  & we have new vars arising in one place & supplanting another — But  short horn is transported & displaces other varieties; but there its  displacer has been slowly modified in some district The case is an all in one  country intensely altered. —  generally  or generally are they  the  different vars in different countries altered  & then displace each other.
