Colaptes rubricatus of Mexico bores holes in Agave & Yucca & lays up stores of acorns!

These Oak- acorns must be brought from several league distances. Their beaks are sharp & can penetrate the outside tissue of stems of Aloe which is very hard, showing that Colaptes has bill which can do the normal work.
