Maer & North Wales – The wild Raspberry an insignificant flower much frequented by Humble-Bees.

Maer Humble-Bee (large) on Lychnis dioica – often on the Pedicularis - & on Ranunculus or common crows foot

I never saw Bee or fly on the Viola canina.

On a fine hot day pollen is rapidly shed & I presume nectar secreted for Bees & Diptera – are most active

It is curious part of Bees biting holes in flowers &c

many of them being foreign – not common act at Maer or Shrewsbury.
