Shrewsbury July 3d 1841.

Saw very many humbles and common Bees on flowers in Bear field, and likewise on small-headed yellow Clover, some in dry field; saw only one humble on layer, whose weight quite disproportionate these bees so numerous that in two or three days, I should think every flower would be visited; yet how often at Maer, have I watched bear fields in vain.

Saw several humble in Vetch field.
