June 1 1860 In Azaleas Pistil bends up to nectary-side. I find in this plant & in Rhododendron that honey is excreted by germen only on side of coloured petals. The pistil certainly in opening flowers of both is not so much curved; it is a vital action subsequent to opening of flower
