March 28th 63. Edwardsia tetraptera - anthers protruded from carina even in young flower & stigma - An immense quality of nectar in drops at bases of all petals & all stamens; this even in rather early flower hardly fully expanded - I scarcely ever saw so much. - When petals & stamens broken off no sooner secretion from stumps. - I daresay old flower goes on secreting - What rubbish of old Treveranus.
