Wind fertilisation  June 8-63

Nettle dioicous - stigma plumose persisting - no corolla - male flowers with filaments doubled in & kept in place by corolla or calyx - when this freed stamens jump out & as anther then dehiscent & pollen incoherent it is jerked out as a little cloud - Warmth causes corolla to open, like the Hot-House plant allied to nettle.
