June 26 1863 Gloriosa Leopoldii

Has pistil bent at right angles or rather more than right angles or rather more than right angles from [illeg] so that latter distended —

Petals reflexed & flower hangs down – stamen upturned alternately so the stigma lies in interval between two anthers, which [illeg] laterally & externally – no nectar secreted in any plant, but would [illeg] at base of cramp petals & which would travel round to get it & so dust stigma. —
