Mackenzie (p. 346) mentions 13 land birds

Athenæum 1838 [25 August, no. 565] p 613 says Mr Proctor the subcurator of Dublin Museum collected 150 birds in Ireland. I suppose many aquatic

Anthus comes very near A. pralinsis, which like its southern representative is said by Mr Yarrell (p 392) to have a very high northern range.

Iceland 65° though centre of island Georgia 54° 30'

Iceland must be about 20 times as big as Georgia
