From these consideration; I infer that silicious matter has been separated during casting of these rocks by a concretionary process, like that which has taken place in so many sedimentary formation & has been aggregated, together some of these with other continent elements into the different nodules of obsidian & if the white & brown sphœrulites. Judging from
