May 20/58/ Falconer says he shd think that most British plants wd live in Lat of Calcutta at height, (if protected from any native vegetation) for 6500 to 7500 & under equator 1000 ft might be added. Thinks Taraxicum of Thompson was kept alive in pot & shaded &c.
