Seeing how isolated Equatorial Africa from India & how distant - it is remarkable the relation of Plants (Hooker) insects. (Hope) & Birds are. Then explain.

It wd be fatal to this doctrine if there are more species under Equator than under Sub-Tropic - not so in Crustacea.
