Northern warm temperate Fauna

N. Tropic

N. Tropical Fauna

During glacial period in Equatorial region, humidity & periodicity would be greatly affected; & these are highly important to Faunas; perhaps almost as much so as is Heat

Lat 10° N.

Preglacial Equatorial Fauna & Flora exterminated during glacial periods

Equator

& occupied after glacial period by the former Tropical Faunas

Lat 10° S.

S. Tropic

S. Tropical Fauna

During glacial period the N. & S. Tropical Fauna would mingle & dilute each other & leave places into which a few temperate products might intrude

(This only makes it worse for Tropical productions)

S. Warm temperate Fauna

after cold land gone this mingled Fauna very favourable for reselection of new species.
