Donders (New Sydenham Soc vol XXII p 574 to the effect that the contraction of the pupil in accommodation is what may be called and unconscious voluntary movement. The accommodative movement is .... to be considered voluntary. It is true, we contract our pupil without being conscious of the contraction of muscular fibres, but this holds good for every voluntary movement
