Summary up to 13h + 19h
9+5 = 14 quite vertical but this includes 4 retried
3 bowed to light but [illeg]-holes in paint or imperfect places.
6 very slightly bowed, some hardly perceptibly, & of these 2 had pipes too short
I must omit taller
In every case the flexure applies only to basal part.
In the trial on the 18th with young Hypocotyls alone all succeeded except one very imperfectly painted.
I must try some more young ones upper part, & basal part (latter must be tested with unpainted skin) & some more with unpainted circles & stripes.
