Francis Darwin explained: "His researches into the meaning of the 'bloom,' or waxy coating found on many leaves, was one of those inquiries which remained unfinished at the time of his death. Movements from - touch seem to start from another basis than the other movements described. — Can they start from that laxity of tissue brought on by shaking?

These movements may be divided into 2 classes, those with a cushion or joint & those without as with Drosera want What wd be effect of shaking Drosera?

Shaking tendril causes movement De Vries says

Has Berberis a cushion?
