Dr H. Dor "on vision in the Arthropoda" shews that there have been many theories; Muller's exploded; he concludes on good evidence that the mechanism of vision is the same as in man; the multiplicity of eyes replaces their power of movement. It does not appear that they can adapt their vision to distances.
