Nov. 26 /73 Vicia faba. Common Garden Bean Forced

The little filament is medial & spring from under side of main petiole, sharply pointed, channelled on upper side like the petioles; rather thick at base 3/10th of an inch in length. — In either rudiment of continuation of main petiole or of a tendril.— When old often curves to one side. I observed it for 24˚ under glass-plate, one of the points from 8˚ to 4˚ P.m. & saw no distinct movement, except, perhaps, a little rising to the light —
