p. 274 to p. 280 Appendix from Wahlenberg's Observations on the Lapland Alps. The Rubus araticus, the Vaccinium myrtillus Sorbus aucuparia, Rubus Chamaerops, Aira alpina, Carex insulata, Vaccinium aliginosum, Empetrum nigrum all extend beyond their proper & different zones to a height where they do not seed.

p. 280 Empetrum nigrum alone bears berries in the penultimate height zone; & the berries are twice as large as in lowlands.
