Crossed Peas— Mr Laxton

Nov. 10' 3° P.m (1867) put in warm water & at night on sand a pure "Grass-green" — a purple pea from "Purple-pod" & a crossed yellow pea from former by pollen of latter. — The pea of the purple-pod is much larger than grass-green or the cross. which are nearly alike in size— Mr L says both pure parents grow about 3 ft. high. —
