Remarks that Cynocephalus & the anthropomorphous apes differ as much for a long time in growing old, as does a man from a child takes several years & characters alter greatly (See Back [illeg] )

Colour of ♂ & ♀ Dull differ & young ♂ like ♀

Mandrill [young] ♂ face black, with maxillary sides blue. ♀ smaller than ♂ - nose never red, & all colours never so brilliant, - nose never quite red; old ♂ Apparently has more large naked buttocks in old than young ♂

In figure of old ♂ face blue with white lines & intense red nose.  Buttocks blue shading into red & & crimson round anus.
