Nov 15 Urosticte [sketch] 4 middle last — feather x a microscopical tip of white.
Some H. B. have only white tips to 2 outer some to 4 outer, but none have 2 middle ones tipped with white - One genus has white tail-feathers tipped with black. I fear I must leave case as one of strange & anomalous variation.

Aïthurus polytmus — Male splendid black & green, with very long narrow tail feather — young male resembles adult male in general colouring & soon shows some trace of tail elongated tail, which is not disc-formed — Female dull & inconspicspicuous inconspicuous with much white beneath —
In male it is penultimate outer feather the outer feathers but one which is so much elongated.—
