Aug 7 /69/ The speculum in young full-grown ducks is not well pronounced & seems considerably [illeg] in ♂ than ♀, but I had not good vars to observe - no trace in ♂ of curled tail-feathers - speculum certainly appears before the curled tail-feathers in ♂.
