P. 120 half way down. "As globulin is an albuminous substance I was astounded at this result" The result was no doubt due to the fact that the globulin was had been treated with alcohol in the course of its preparation. For the same reason "chemically prepared casein" is not attacked by digestive fluids.
The further globulin referred to in this note was prepared from serum of blood by diluting it passing through his dilu it a stream of carbonic acid gas as after largely diluting it with water
