[72a]

It is said that Prof Meyer has recently ascertained in the U. States that the hairs on the antenna of ♂ mosquitoes vibrate in unison with the various notes of a Tuning fork [illeg] the longer of the sounds which are emitted by the females. The longest hairs vibrate sympathetically to the [illeg] notes, & the short fibres to the higher notes.

Under Music at the End.
