By an old Sportsman
There are two ways, snap & taking steady aim. Snap must be done immediately, the other steadily. —
Snap is used in sharp Cross shots, or when the bird is turning round a bush, when it generally kills them . — the other when the birds goes steadily away, or in a distant & steady cross shot.
