My dear George

I am afraid the last days of the exam papers will be very irksome & F. & I will be anxious to know how you are getting on. I hope your wrist is really better by yr playing tennis so vigorously. Bessy had pleasant 3 days

at the Ogles, liking her very much. Dr Ogle is very amusing & agreeable but he never speaks well of any body ─ & what is worse found fault with the turkey at his own table. Dr Moore dined there so it was pleasant ─ B. went to call on the Miss Cobdens w. Mrs Ogle ─ They rehearse their plays on Sunday evgs which

is too much flying in the face of the world.

We have had bad colds & I hope F's will not fly to his chest ─ Fr is very bad but has gone to the Linnean & to sleep in London ─

Hen is v. done up w. attending to Laura & catering amusements for 2 young Tuke girls who are spending a week with them, & it is thought that they will not be allowed to go any where with only a maid ─

Let us know when you really sail ─ we have the Ritchie's & Emily Loch on the 28th & if you are done I dare say you will meet them. The barom. keeps at the most extra height ─ higher than any time in this century — Now I must write to Ida about cooks ─ Bessie thought her looking & delicate & pulled down
