My dear George

Here is your cheque. Wm left us this morning & the Litches yesterday. R. is v. m. charmed w. Ellen & had a good deal of talk w. her —

If the day is decent, she & Bessy are going to call on Mrs Benson today

but it is quite a storm, after a lovely day yesterday for the Band of Hope Tea & Mrs C. Norman & step. & called —

I am not very brisk so goodbye, yours E. D ─

Frank is obstinate about telling B. & my back is a little up on the subject, as after all it is our affair

B. asked Bessy "Why is Ellen always in Dadda's room"? answer I don't know — but she means to tell no more fibs about it—
