My dear George
I have very little to tell you; but I shall like to hear from you, if you have ever so little to tell me — Elinor came yesterday evg — She is to try a strict milk diet for a month as every sort of food disagrees with her — & Seltzer water every 2 hours — How Sir Andrew wd disapprove of that
[2]
She says she feels quite unfit to do any thing; but she worked & talked cheerfully all evg—
She has no objection to the milk — Her homeopath Dr is to watch her. She is not thin — I feel comf w. her & we sit silent or talk just as we like.
Dubsy is absorbed in flags & has drawn the whole

set in the map book —
Rasmus goes to Abinger on Wed — Bessy come back from the Pattricks today, & I go to Ellen T's on Monday; wh. I shall find resting — as she does not appear till 11– or 12– & I like her company partic —
Rasmus is v. charming & devoted to making trains of every thing that comes to hand
[4]
It shews a gt deal of imagination — I suppose you have seen Ida — who sounds most comf—
yours my dear
E. D –
The special quality I shd give Bee is dependableness & that is not a bad foundation.
