"Thiselton-Dyer, Sir William Turner, 1843-1928. Botanist. Married Harriet Anne Hooker. 1876 D helped CD with experiments for Insectivorous plants. 1877 Reviewed Fertilisation. 1879 D helped CD with botanical material from Kew, e.g. 1879 CD to D, on a species of Oxalis. 1880 FRS. 1882 D was on "Personal Friends invited" list for CD's funeral."
"Moore, Sir Norman, Bart, 1847-1922. Physician and antiquary. Of St. Bartholomew's Hospital. M attended CD in his last illness."

My dear William

Your kind letter has pleased me very much. I am truly glad that you like the reminiscence.

It is a blessing that I wrote them in 1882 I couldn't do it now

I have had enthusiastic congrats from people whose opinions I value like Dyer & N. Moore. J. W Clark was also enthusiastic & made me blush in the street. The only good newspaper review is the Scotsman. I can send someday.
