Ap. 28. '82.

My dear Mr. Huxley

We wish to tell you that father has left you £1000 free of legacy duty with the following words

"As a slight memorial of my life-long affection and respect for him."

This sum we will pay when all the necessary matters are arranged. We are sure that Mrs Huxley and you will be glad to hear that our mother is wonderfully well and calm, and we think is now very happy in the thought that father is buried in Westminster Abbey.
