Prof. Allman was talking yesterday to Adm. Sir . . . Sullivan, a former messmate of your father on board the Beagle, who spoke emphatically of his perfect good temper & forbearance under what were undoubtedly trying

circumstances including the hot temper of the Captain (Fitz Roy). It would be well if Frank got Admiral Sullivan to write a few lines about this, for the Life.
