TELGRAMS TO ROSS.
Dear Mr. F. Darwin,
Whitley has sent me 2 of your father's letters to him; & I have been looking enough to find

5 addressed to me, amongst some old papers. The two first are written soon after he left me at Barmouth — & when he was in S. America — & a short note written from Maer in 1840 — the day of my marriage.
Whitley wishes to have his letters returned to him; and I shall be glad if you will return mine — &

I will have them copied for you. Mr Matthews your Father mentions in one of his letters, was Henry Matthew, of Sidney, without the final s / & a member of the Glutton Club. I think he died Vicar of Thornsey in the Fens — With kindest remembrances to Mrs. Darwin
