My dear Sir
I enclose copies of all the letters which I have received from your father with the exception of one relating to Dr. Ferriers trial for vivisection which I gave to Dr. Ferrier. I also send Preyer's Seele des Kindes which your father lent to me and I must apologise both for my long delay in sending it
[9]
& the copies of the letters. I enclose a copy of the address I gave at the opening meeting of the Abernethian Society at St. Bartholomew's Hospital this year. In it I mention an experiment on inoculation made by your great grandfather which your father wished published. I may probably refer to it again elsewhere or get it referred to but others writing on the subject of inoculation.
With kind regards and sympathy for a loss which can never be filled up.
Faithfully yours
T. Lauder Brunton
