Sir,

Referring to a paragraph in the papers on the subject of your proposed Life of your father, I have in my collection of autographs a letter of him which I think may perhaps be interesting. I am not quite sure but I fancy I received it from my cousin Mr. Lewin Miall of Leeds. I do not know what the pamphlet was, but the letter shows that your father did not care to answer such attacks. I shall be glad to have the letter back to this address — if accompanied thro by Book post — when you have done with it.
